ARBURG at Plastimagen 2022

A hybrid ALLROUNDER 570 H in packaging version will be equipped with a docked automation cell from Campetella for fast in-mould labelling, combining several robotic systems in a very small footprint. In this way, four thin-walled yoghurt tubs can be produced in a cycle time of only around two seconds. The robot cell is also connected by a transfer station to a driverless transport system that can pick up the boxes of finished products and transport them to a storage area.

At Plastimagen, an electric ALLROUNDER 470 A will produce four espresso cups in a cycle time of 31 seconds. The material used is a transparent PMMA, and the shot weight is 120 g. This project is the result of a collaboration between ARBURG, the University of Darmstadt, and Stäubli. The mould has been optimised for fast clamping and water adaptation. The machine is equipped with a Multilift Select with a load of six kilograms for removing and depositing the cups on a conveyor belt.

Visitors to Plastimagen will be shown how the ARBURG host computer system (ALS) and arburgXworld customer portal can be used together to access, adapt and update quality and production planning, as well as technology and service management across a company's entire machine inventory, including on all digital devices.
