ARBURG at Greenplast 2022

At Greenplast, a "smart" turnkey system produces cups from PP that are printed with a QR code after the injection moulding process. This will then enable separation by type after use. The heart of the turnkey system is an electric ALLROUNDER 470 A with a MULTILIFT robotic system. The exhibit is also equipped with intelligent assistance systems.

As an exclusive engineering partner in the R-Cycle initiative, with its cup production Arburg will demonstrate how high-quality recyclate can be recovered from plastic waste after products have been used, thereby closing the recycling loop. The pivotal element of R-Cycle is a database that contains all the information about the materials used. As a result, every plastic product is assigned a digital product passport.

Visitors to Greenplast will also have the opportunity to get to know and try out both the arburgXworld customer portal and the ARBURG host computer system ALS live at two stations. Both systems are modular and their features contribute to more efficient production.

The trade fair will also be hosting a conference in parallel with the exhibition, at which Bertram Stern, ARBURG’s Sustainability Manager, will give a presentation on the aims and added value of adopting a resource-efficient approach to the processing of plastics.
