Multi-axis robots

Multi-axis robotic systems are characterized by a high degree of flexibility, a compact design and a small footprint. This enables you to implement even very complex handling tasks with ease, such as contour re-working of molded parts.

In-line parts handling as well as the interlinking of processes can be realized with ease using these robots. All sequences are programmed via a separate hand-held operating unit which uses the familiar system and symbols of the machine controller.

Our universal SELOGICA control system can be used to program six-axis robotic systems from Kuka just as conveniently as ALLROUNDER injection molding machines and MULTILIFT robotic systems. Applications examples

Cable grommet
The versatile six-axis robotic systems offer perfection in motion, enabling you to reliably perform even complex tasks – as demonstrated most impressively by the fully automated encapsulation of cables: the flexible parts are individually pre-assembled and inserted into several cavities in different positions.

Dental drill
Unlike their metal counterparts, dental drills made from PEEK only remove the carious material. The tiny parts are produced for dental practices as cost-effective “ready-to-use” disposable items in a single step.

Insulation rail
Heat resistant insulating rails for domestic irons are produced on a hydraulic injection molding machine. Fibrous BMC is fed, optimally pre-compressed, by means of the INJESTER screw feeder device. A six-axis robotic system processes the external contours.

Hormone ring
Hormone rings made from LSR can be used by women for HIV prevention. The most stringent requirements with regard to hygiene and product quality must be met during production. The special advantage: before injection molding, an agent is mixed into the liquid silicone, which provides protection against HIV.

Housing cover
As a main contractor, ARBURG has, jointly with its partner Sonderhoff, developed the inline MOLD’n SEAL process, which combines injection molding with subsequent PUR foaming. This allows you to save time, costs and space, as well as significantly increasing your production efficiency.
