ARBURG cooperation in Taiwan
Memorandum between University and industry
In the context of the Taipei Plas 2014, Helmut Heinson, Managing Director Sales, and Andrea Carta, Overseas Director, signed a cooperation agreement between ARBURG and the Ming Chi University of Technology in Taiwan, which includes a practical training component.
Cooperation with ARBURG in the area of machine technology
The University already collaborates closely with the largest Taiwanese industrial enterprise, the Formosa Plastic Group. In future, ALLROUNDER injection molding technology will be used to a greater extent for educational and training purposes, as well as for research and development, particularly in the field of medical technology. Through the cooperation with ARBURG, the injection molding expertise is to be further enhanced and contacts to regional industrial companies expanded.
The cooperation was largely made possible thanks to C&F Corporation Limited, which has represented ARBURG for over 35 years and has built up an excellent network to the Taiwanese and Chinese industries. During the period of the agreement, initially of two years, injection molding experts from ARBURG and C&F, for example, will hold regular seminars and workshops as part of the engineering curriculum of Ming Chi University in order to provide practical training for students and teaching staff. During their visit to the University, Helmut Heinson and Andrea Carta extended an invitation on the part of ARBURG to academics and students to visit the company’s parent factory in Lossburg, Germany and attend training there.
