Stylish
A meticulously designed toolbox: High-quality aesthetics are ensured by overmolded 3D films and hot-stamped ARBURG lettering, for example.
Automatic
Integrated into the GESTICA control system: A SCARA robot prepares the pre-produced film inserts, a MULTILIFT V handles the molded parts.
Recycled
The material made from post-industrial recyclate (PIR) is obtained from PET films – meaning that 40% less CO2 is consumed compared with new materials.
Turnkey: Efficiently producing a toolbox
ARBURG solutions used
ALLROUNDER 1120 H
With a clamping force of 6,500 kN and an injection unit 7000, the hybrid ALLROUNDER 1120 H is ARBURG's largest injection molding machine and produces the two half-shells of the toolbox in a cycle time of 60 s.
MULTILIFT V
The MULTILIFT V 40 picks up the inserts from the centering station, moves past an ionization bar, which cleans them, and inserts them into the 1+1-cavity injection mold. The robotic system then removes the two molded parts and conveys the lid to a hot stamping station.
Turnkey system
With the efficient turnkey solution, injection molding, preparation, cleaning and hot stamping take place automatically. The inserts are positioned on workpiece carriers and conveyed via a double sliding table, where they are prepared by a KUKA SCARA robot that can be programmed via the GESTICA control system.
GESTICA control system
GESTICA offers unique assistants: With "aXw Control FillAssist", even more precise process parameters can be generated directly in the control system during filling simulation. "EnergyAssist" optimizes on/off switching for all heating zones.
Processing of recyclate
The black-gray components of the toolbox are made of post-industrial recyclate (PIR) obtained from PET films, which consumes up to 40 percent less CO2 than new materials.
