Highlight week at ARBURG Inc.

Three action-packed days were on the agenda for employees and guests at ARBURG's Technology Center (ATC) and US headquarters in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, in September 2025. The golf tournament for ARBURG employees and customers raised an impressive amount of $7,500 for a good cause. The open house focused on the automation of complex injection molding tasks. Finally, around 100 schoolchildren visited the ARBURG US subsidiary in Rocky Hill to get an idea of the possibilities of injection molding as the future generation.

TechXellence 2025: Focus on automation

The focus of the open house on September 18, which was attended by around 100 guests, was on the topic of automation. The title of the event “TechXellence 2025” stands for the annual open house in Rocky Hill, the ATC at the East Coast. Guests were able to watch live machine demonstrations in the showroom, learn about turnkey automation solutions on site, and gain valuable insights from industry experts — including Perc Pineda, chief economist of the Plastics Industry Association — with whom attendees discussed current topics such as the ongoing tariff situation.

School visits gave young people valuable insights

The third day of the event week at ARBURG Inc. was dedicated entirely to schools from the surrounding area, which were able to learn about production in the plastics sector and the prospects the industry can offer young talent at the ATC. More than 100 students came to Rocky Hill to see a practical introduction to modern manufacturing, automation, and career opportunities in the plastics industry.

Successful “Action Days”

The three “Action Days” in September showcased not only ARBURG's cutting-edge technology, but also the company's ongoing commitment to innovation, partnership, and inspiration for the future of manufacturing. Martin Baumann, Managing Director of ARBURG Inc., commented on the event week as follows: “All of our guests went home with a wealth of new ideas. That is our goal with TechXellence and other events. We want to inspire customers, friends, and even students to improve their training and their businesses.”
