ARBURG welcomes 34 new trainees and DHBW students

On September 1, 2025, Steffen Kroner, ARBURG Managing Director Finance, Controlling, IT and Human Resources Management, joined Training Manager Michael Vieth to welcome a total of 34 trainees and students from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) to Lossburg. The new "family members" are starting at ARBURG with an exciting first week.

An introductory week with many new experiences

To help the trainers, the other contact persons, and all the newcomers from the 2025 training year get to know each other better, Michael Vieth and his team first planned a week of diverse activities to start things off. The new arrivals will discover the company during a tour of the premises and learn more about the product lines and ARBURG as a company. There will also be an exciting outdoor team challenge.

Teamwork in exciting projects

In addition to their technical training, for example as industrial mechanics, industrial clerks, or electrical and information technicians, inter-professional cooperation is also promoted within the framework of various projects. In 2022 and 2024, for example, trainees won the VDMA's "Carbon Busters" award for reducing the CO2 footprint of coffee machines and for reusing grinding sludge in ARBURG production. The VDMA [German Engineering Federation] honors young climate protectors with this award.
