ARBURG at the Swiss Plastics Expo 2026

The 2026 trade fair year kicks off for ARBURG with the Swiss Plastics Expo in Lucerne, Switzerland, where the company will present an electric ALLROUNDER 370 A with GESTICA control system at Booth C1061 in Hall 1. Instead of petroleum-based plastic, this machine processes an alternative material called paper pearls.

Electric ALLROUNDER processes innovative material

An electric ALLROUNDER 370 A processes the paper pearls, which have a fiber content of over 50 percent. The main component of the paper pearls is primary and secondary paper fibers that are combined with bio-based and biodegradable plastics based on lignin, starch, or corn to make them injection moldable. Using a 1-cavity mold, the paper pearls are turned into a “reef knot“ puzzle in a cycle time of around 60 seconds. A MULTILIFT SELECT 8 linear robotic system removes the molded part and sets it down on the conveyor belt.
Active compensation of material and batch to batch variations is performed by the software-based pilot function “aXw Control RecyclatePilot” in the GESTICA machine controller. It ensures uniform mold filling, stable shot weights, and high part quality. The RecyclatePilot is equally suitable for processing post-industrial and post-consumer recycled material, reground material, and bio-based plastics.
