Successful Info Days 2021

Training: Useful information live and first hand

07.07.2021
As in the previous year, the ARBURG Info Days (2 and 3 July 2021) were held as an attendance event thanks to a special hygiene concept. The overwhelming response with 300 visitors clearly confirmed that, despite the many digital offerings, young people would like to find out about the extensive range of ARBURG training opportunities at first hand and, above all, live, while also getting to know the company up close.

Attentive support from guides
At this year's event, “guides” led the registered visitors in small groups through the 2,000 m² Vocational Training Center and the Info Days exhibition area. At stations about the various careers, fascinating insights were provided to the students with the help of exhibits and their many questions were answered.

Practical presentation of careers
By jointly producing a pen holder, industrial mechanics, construction mechanics, and technical product designers demonstrated how their fields work together to turn an idea into a finished product. The metal bending machine was used as an example to show what else is offered during training. The machine is equipped with a QR code, allowing trainees to view the corresponding e-learning produced by their predecessors at any time on a tablet.
At the electronics station, visitors were able to examine test results, among other things, and were also allowed to operate circuits themselves. The mechatronics technicians had set up a station with a six-axis robotic system where chocolate bars had to be stacked.

ARBURG machines live in action
Among the highlights were the ALLROUNDER injection moulding machine and the freeformer for additive manufacturing. Both machines produced plastic products live from materials such as recycled plastic. The processing of such materials is one of many components of the “arburgGREENworld” programme, in which ARBURG pools its activities in relation to the circular economy and sustainability. Those wishing to find out more were given detailed information at the corresponding stand.
