Our versatile machine concepts can always be individually configured to meet your requirements. A good example of this are turnkey reel-to-reel systems built around a vertical ALLROUNDER V for automated inline production. This enables you to overmould leadframes in short cycles, producing top-quality parts.

Application examples

Rotary encoder
The complex electronic component is produced in a single process: a robotic system positions a sensor on the nozzle side of the mould and a magnetic disc on the ejector side. In order to combine the insert with the magnet, the sensor is overmoulded with a carrier plate.

Internal conductors
ARBURG has designed a production cell for the fully automatic volume production of internal conductors for Fakra connectors, overmoulding up to 72,000 pins per day. The associated robotic systems and peripherals are characterised by extremely fast and precise handling of the delicate inserts.

Clip
Leadframes can be overmoulded with plastic using the reel-to-reel process. For the production of clips, a vertical ALLROUNDER 275 V injection moulding machine is equipped with a combination mould, which separates the finished parts from the carrier strip. The process impresses with short cycle times and high part quality.

Fuel tank strainer
A vertical ALLROUNDER 375 V shows how fuel tank strainers can be produced in small batch volumes cost-effectively and to high quality standards by integrating manual operations and using innovative working methods. A total of seven production steps take place within a total cycle time of 50 seconds.
