Multiple variants
ARBURG has implemented a turnkey system for Phoenix Contact that combines a high level of article variance with automation. The production concept is particularly flexible and optimises set-up times. The system can produce 159 component variants with cycle time savings of around 30 per cent.

Ready-to-wear UVEX sunglasses are produced on an electric ALLROUNDER in a combination of plastic-compatible product design and automated production: produced efficiently and cost-effectively in a single step, tested inline and 100 per cent traceable.
Reel-to-Reel
Forming and automated overmoulding on the production line – reel-to-reel. The pre-punched metal inserts are supplied to the vertical injection moulding machine via an upstream stamping and bending cell, and formed. Three contacts are then overmoulded in the injection mould to form an assembly.
