ALLROUNDER TREND answers customers’ needs

Moulders increasingly need moulding machines that are affordable, simple to operate, quick to commission, easy to maintain and energy efficient. ARBURG has listened to the market and has answered: the new electric ALLROUNDER TREND, launched at K 2025, is designed to deliver all these current customer requirements.

TREND machines designed to help customers with costs

ARBURG’s most important new product launch for several years, the ALLROUNDER TREND range has the customer in mind in every design feature. The TREND machine is cost-effective, so important in today’s challenging business conditions. It is designed for ease of operation, equipped with the simpler GESTICA lite control variant. Machine set up is quick and easy, appealing to companies entering moulding for the first time and where some staff are light on experience.

Being all-electric, ALLROUNDER TREND has energy-efficient clamping and relatively low operating costs. It is designed to process recyclates reliably, reducing carbon further. New design features make it easier to maintain and self-maintenance is easier with digital support on the control unit.

Fast ROI, low TCO

TREND machines have are characterised by fast return on investment (ROI) with a low total cost of ownership. A new machine therefore pays off fairly quickly, even with short machine running times.

“ARBURG has completely redeveloped the ALLROUNDER with the new TREND, responding directly to what customers ask for,” says Steve Thomson, Managing Director at ARBURG Ltd. “From the all-electric drive train, energy-efficient clamping and high-performance injection unit to the dynamic electric ejector and the new Gestica lite control variant, TREND has been produced for the customer in today’s challenging market. The machine technology is very easy to master, even for personnel with lower levels of training, and for newcomers it enables quick and easy entry into moulding standard components. It is a fantastic machine.”

Lead times have also been cut, again answering the market’s needs. The time from order to delivery ex-works is usually only about four weeks.

Simple to operate for non-experts, simple to maintain

ALLROUNDER TREND has been designed and built to help users, even new entrants into injection moulding. The new GESTICA lite control has an intuitive user interface with a clear dashboard, designed for easy operation. Everything is displayed, including information about the job, the current process and access to the most important parameters – all intelligently and actively supported by assistance functions. The dashboard touch function jumps directly to the detailed parameter pages for the clamping and injection unit. The status centre, which displays all alarms, the help centre with practical online support and a digital pinboard for production-related personal notes provide further benefits. There is also a simplified search and fast troubleshooting function involving assisted workflows with visual solution trees and simplified navigation.

For maintenance, the safety gate has been enlarged and the sliding guard on the injection unit can be opened wide in two stages. The maintenance points on the injection and clamping unit, e.g. for grease lubrication, are easy to access without the need for special tools. For self-maintenance, customers can access digital support, including installation instructions, directly on the control unit: The “aXw Control MaintenanceAssist” explains the tasks to be performed step-by-step in a series of video tutorials.

“The TREND machine is a revelation, it answers exactly what many UK and Ireland customers have been asking for,” says Steve Thomson. “The three machines at the K show had so much interest – clearly ARBURG has developed a machine that companies want in today’s market conditions”.

“Our business strategy includes providing the best possible support to our customers. ALLROUNDER TREND allows moulders to take more control of their operations and maintenance, using the new features and digital support. We are here to help, but if they can be more autonomous too, it reduces their costs, and we operate more efficiently.”

At launch, there are four sizes in the clamping force range from 500 to 2,000 kN and with electric injection units in sizes 100 to 800.

The TREND machine will be available worldwide from spring 2026.
