ARBURG at Chinaplas 2021
Digitalisation, lightweight construction, efficiency
At Chinaplas in Shenzhen (China), ARBURG will be presenting its comprehensive range of products for plastics processing from 13 to 16 April 2021. High-end machine technology and turnkey solutions will be on display at stand J21 in Hall 10, and the focus will be on the topics of digitalisation and resource conservation.
China is an important market
The Chinese market, and hence the trade fair, are of great importance for ARBURG. This is reflected in the company's superb presentation at the fair, even though visitors are likely to be limited to interested locals this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sophisticated LSR applications
ARBURG will be presenting an LSR version of an ALLROUNDER from the GOLDEN ELECTRIC series to the international trade fair public for the first time.
A turnkey system based around an ALLROUNDER 470 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC produces sophisticated lenses for the automotive industry, which are used in the matrix headlights of passenger cars, for example. A laser is used to apply a DM code to each component. This code can then be used in the arburgXworld customer portal to view the production data for each individual component, providing 100% traceability.
ARBURG will be demonstrating a particularly economical and resource-saving lightweight construction application using fibre direct compounding (FDC) as an example. A lateral feeder cuts glass fibre rovings into lengths before adding them directly into the liquid melt. At the exhibition stand, a hydraulic ALLROUNDER 820 S produces test plates made of 30% PP reinforced with long glass fibres. The handling tasks are carried out by a MULTILIFT SELECT linear robotic system.

Turnkey solution for medical technology
At Chinaplas 2021, ARBURG will be demonstrating the fully automated production of pipette tips with a hybrid ALLROUNDER 470 H, which can produce 48 pieces in around 6 s cycle time. The turnkey system was developed in cooperation with local automation partners, and has been designed to produce several product variants. The automation consists of three modules for removal, camera inspection and order picking.

Industrial additive manufacturing using the freeformer
A freeformer 300-3X will produce a functional part from two components and support material in a resilient hard/soft combination. The open system is also suitable for very soft and certified original materials, and is perfect for sophisticated applications, for example in medical technology and the automotive industry.

arburgXworld: customer portal and digitalisation
With its numerous apps and expansion stages, the 'arburgXworld' ARBURG customer portal offers comprehensive digital support. At Chinaplas, all injection moulding exhibits will be equipped with an IIoT gateway and networked via the ARBURG host computer system (ALS).
ARBURG will also be providing practical demonstrations of the benefits of digitalisation and automation in injection moulding production in the "Factory of the Future" (Hall 11, stand J41). In the Factory, an ALLROUNDER 470 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC with networked IT equipment will be producing connectors for the automotive industry – completely automatically and with full traceability.
