ARBURG at the Chinaplas 2017
Broad range for plastic parts production
ARBURG will be taking hydraulic and electric entry-level ALLROUNDER machines and freeformers to the Chinaplas from 16 to 19 May 2017 in Guangzhou, China. At Stand A41 in Hall 5.1, visitors to the fair will also be able to find out all about Industry 4.0.
25 years of ARBURG in China
"We have been committed to the Chinese market for 25 years now, and are very proud to be able to comprehensively support our customers and grow alongside them," says Zhao Tong, Managing Director of the three ARBURG organisations in China. "At the Chinaplas, we will be presenting interesting applications for medical technology, the consumer goods sector and the aerospace industry with our entry-level ALLROUNDER machines and the freeformer."
Precise production of medical technology parts
An electric entry-level ALLROUNDER 370 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC machine will produce Y connectors for intravenous drip therapy. A linear MULTILIFT SELECT robotic system will perform the handling operations. Hekuma (Hall 12.1, Stand J41) will be hosting a further medical technology application. Here, a hybrid ALLROUNDER 520 H will produce 64 pipette tips in a cycle time of only 4.8 s. To find out more about medical technology from ARBURG, visitors will also have the opportunity to attend an expert presentation at the Medical Plastics Conference accompanying the exhibition.
Complex LSR processing
The fact that hydraulic entry-level machines are also suitable for processing liquid silicone will be demonstrated at the Chinaplas 2017 by a hydraulic ALLROUNDER 420 C GOLDEN EDITION with a clamping force of 1,000 kN, which produces flexible LSR cases for the iPhone 6. In Hall 4.2, Stand D01, Mehow will be exhibiting a turnkey system built around a hydraulic two-component ALLROUNDER 470 S, which will manufacture closures in a hard/soft combination (PC/LSR). Here, handling will be performed by a six-axis robot.
Additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0
A freeformer will produce a spare part in PC from a qualified standard granulate for the aerospace industry without the use of a mould to demonstrate the potential of industrial additive manufacturing for functional parts. Moreover, visitors to the ARBURG exhibition stand can see how the host computer system (ALS), a key component for Industry 4.0, can acquire and archive relevant process data online. ARBURG will also give a presentation on this subject at the Industry 4.0 Conference accompanying the exhibition.
