ARBURG at the Swiss Plastics 2017

Electric injection moulding production

04.01.2017<
From 24 to 26 January, ARBURG will be presenting cost-effective automated production at the 2017 Swiss Plastics trade fair in Lucerne. At Stand C1061 in Hall 1, an ALLROUNDER from the new electric entry-level GOLDEN ELECTRIC series will produce connectors for the electrical industry.

New electric entry-level series
ARBURG launched the GOLDEN ELECTRIC machine series onto the market in spring 2016 to facilitate cost-effective entry into electric injection moulding production. "Our customers in Switzerland are increasingly turning to electric injection moulding technology," explains Marcel Spadini, Managing Director of ARBURG Switzerland. "Like their successful GOLDEN EDITION hydraulic counterparts, the new electric machines offer an excellent price/performance ratio thanks to consistent standardisation, e.g. a fixed combination of distance between tie-bars, clamping force and injection unit size. They are available in four machine sizes with clamping forces from 600 to 2,000 kN."

Connectors for the electrical industry
At the Swiss Plastics 2017, an ALLROUNDER 470 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC with a clamping force of 1,000 kN will produce technical components for the electrical industry: in a cycle time of around 18 seconds, 16 connectors for Skintop® screw fittings are produced for fastening, centring, sealing and providing strain relief for cables. A MULTILIFT SELECT linear robotic system performs the handling tasks.
