Our prizes and certifications

People’s Choice Award
At the Rapid + TCT 2019 in Detroit (USA), ARBURG was honoured with the coveted People’s Choice Award. The public was fascinated by the two freeformer exhibits, interactive stations and functional components and chose ARBURG as one of the three best exhibitors.

Outstanding supplier
On the occasion of the 3rd biennial "Outstanding Supplier" in March 2019, ARBURG was named Premium Partner of the Year 2018 by the HARTING Technology Group for adherence to deadlines, product quality and reliability of its machines.

Red Dot Award 2018
The GESTICA control system from ARBURG has been awarded the coveted, internationally recognised "Red Dot Award 2018" design prize. Following in the footsteps of the freeformer in 2014, this is the second ARBURG product to win this award.

Knowledge Award 2018
At the USU World 2018 on 7 June 2018, ARBURG received the Knowledge Award 2018 of USU GmbH for its innovative concept for the use of knowledge management technologies in service. USU's unymira division presents this award to honour new, inspiring and verifiably successful ideas for practical application of the Knowledge Center database.

ALLROUNDER 1120 H wins prestigious design prize
The ALLROUNDER 1120 H has been bestowed the coveted, internationally renowned "iF Award 2018" design prize. The large machine received the prize in the "Product" discipline within the "Office & Industry" category.

Triple certification for training
ARBURG was the first training company in Baden-Württemberg to obtain triple quality certification. In addition to the LQW certificate and the seal of quality as a "1A Excellent Training Company" from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the Northern Black Forest region, the company also successfully underwent auditing in accordance with "DIN ISO 29990 - Quality Management System for Training Providers" in February 2018.

Industry 4.0 award for ARBURG
On 22 May 2017, ARBURG was honoured with the "100 Centres of Industry 4.0 Excellence in Baden-Württemberg" award. This award was initiated by the "Industry 4.0 Alliance for Baden-Württemberg" network initiative to honour special achievements in the Industry 4.0 sector.

Award-winning parking
The architectural quality and the innovations implemented in the new ARBURG multi-storey car park have impressed the professional group representing architects in Baden-Württemberg. The Architects' Chamber for the Northern Black Forest region saluted the building as an example of "Exemplary Construction" in October 2016.

Leonardo da Vinci Award 2016
ARBURG received the Leonardo da Vinci Award on 17 March 2016 as part of the MECSPE trade fair in Parma, Italy. AIPI, the professional association representing Italy's industrial designers, awarded the international prize to the freeformer for industrial additive manufacturing.

Plastics Industry Award (PIA) 2015
In London on 9 October, Colin Tirel, Managing Director ARBURG Ltd (UK), and Jordan Daykin, inventor of "GripIt" received the Plastics Industry Award (PIA) 2015 in the "Supplier Partnership - Prime Machinery" category.

“The Best of German Mittelstand” 2015
Two reference books published in English prominently portray ARBURG's company profile. German specialist business publisher “Deutsche Standards Editionen” has produced two volumes entitled “The Best of German Mittelstand”, which respectively present 100 leading family-owned companies and world market leaders.

freeformer: Plast Platinum Award 2015
At the Plastpol 2015 trade fair in Kielce, Poland, ARBURG was awarded the “Plast Platinum Award” medal in the “Plastics processing machines and systems” category. The award honours the development and implementation of ground-breaking technologies as well as economic and ecological innovations.

Baden-Württemberg Competence Prize 2015
ARBURG Partner Eugen Hehl was bestowed an award as an outstanding entrepreneur on 5 May 2015: he received the Baden-Württemberg Competence Prize for Innovation and Quality, which is awarded annually by business consultancy TQU Group and trade fair organiser P.E. Schall.

Plastics Hall of Fame 2015
On 22 March 2015, Eugen Hehl was inducted into the “Plastics Hall of Fame”. Together with his late brother Karl Hehl, today’s senior Partner made ARBURG into a global leader in the manufacture of injection moulding machines.

Gira: Supplier of the Year 2014
At the "suppliers' day" on 12 September 2014, Gira nominated ARBURG and FPT Robotik as "Supplier of the Year 2014". The honour was awarded in particular for a complex production cell, which produces and packages shockproof inserts for plug sockets in a fully automated, three-shift operation.

freeformer: Red Dot Award 2014
On 7 July 2014, the design world gathered for the presentation of the internationally renowned Red Dot Award. The 40-strong expert jury evaluated a total of 4,815 submissions from 53 countries. The freeformer is the first product from ARBURG to win the coveted, internationally renowned design prize.

Certification according to ISO 50001
In July 2012, we received certification according to the new international ISO 50001 standard, which commits us to the efficient use of energy in all areas of the company. Together with our ISO 9001 (Quality Assurance) and ISO 14001 (Environment) certifications, this means we are now one of the first companies to achieve triple certification.

Georg Menges Prize 2012
On 7 March, ARBURG Managing Director Herbert Kraibühler received the Georg Menges Prize 2012 for his outing contributions in putting the knowledge gained in research and development into practice, as well as his commitment towards the ongoing co-operation between the science and business communities.

EPPM: Supplier of the Year 2011
ARBURG received the British EPPM Award as Supplier of the Year in the largest category, “Injection Moulding” The high quality standard of the machines, excellence in service and the company’s innovative strength were the deciding factors. In 2011, ARBURG introduced its new electric EDRIVE machine series, among others, onto the market.

DKMS honours bone marrow donors
The German Bone Marrow Donor Register (DKMS) honoured social involvement at ARBURG in 2011: more than 900 employees, i.e. over two thirds of the eligible personnel, took part in a tissue typing campaign with 13 becoming donors and therefore potential life-savers.

Partner for top-level sports
The regional Baden-Württemberg sports association (LSV) bestowed ARBURG the award of “Partner company for top-level sports” in 2010. ARBURG provides the ideal conditions for the sporting career of its employee and internationally successful disabled cyclist Tobias Graf.

Partner of the Fire Brigade
In 2010, ARBURG was honoured with the title of “Partner of the Fire Brigade” by the German Fire Brigade Federation for its outstanding commitment to preventive fire protection. The model company releases more than 90 employees, who are members of the voluntary fire brigade, from work to attend call-outs and training courses.

Delphi-Award 2010
2010, Delphi bestowed an award on ARBURG’s Brazilian subsidiary in São Paulo as an outstanding supplier in South America. The leading global supplier of mobile electronics and transport systems for the automotive sector thereby honoured the many years of excellent collaboration between the two companies.

Uvex: Supplier of the year 2005
ARBURG was named “Supplier of the year 2005” by uvex. The deciding factor here was the excellent technical solutions and design co-operation. Uvex uses the resulting complex production cell for the manufacture of plastic toe caps for safety shoes.
