ARBURG at the Plast Eurasia 2015
Additive manufacturing and IML application
At the Plast Eurasia, to be held from 3 to 6 December 2015, ARBURG (Hall 12, Stand 1214) will present the freeformer for industrial additive manufacturing for the first time in the Turkish market. An automated IML application with a hybrid ALLROUNDER will demonstrate the performance capability in the packaging sector.
Premiere for the freeformer
"With our innovative technology, we are very well positioned," says Engin Malcan, Managing Director of ARBURG Turkey. "The trade fair is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, providing the ideal backdrop for the launch of the freeformer in the Turkish market." The innovative system for industrial additive manufacturing has been developed by ARBURG on the basis of decades of expertise in machine construction and plastics processing. The freeformer uses an additive process to produce fully functional plastic parts from qualified standard granulates on the basis of 3D CAD data, without requiring a mould.
Fully automated production: IML containers with handles
The presentation of an automated production cell built around a hybrid ALLROUNDER 720 H is directed at the dynamic packaging market. The hybrid injection moulding machine is available in a special "Packaging" version. 0.8-litre containers with handles will be produced in a cycle time of around 4.9 seconds. The two-cavity mould and the automation system for inserting the labels and removing and stacking the thin-walled moulded parts are supplied by Turkish IML specialists and ARBURG cooperation partners Erkoҫ and Roboplas from Istanbul.
