The 6th July was the date chosen for the 12th annual ARBURG Ltd golf day which was held once again at the Coventry golf club.

30/03/2011 – The injection moulding sector is booming again, as the Technology Days 2011 clearly confirmed: Record numbers of visitors, an excellent atmosphere and numerous intensive and project-related technical discussions. More than 5,200 trade visitors from 54 countries came to the ARBURG headquarters in Lossburg between 23 and 26 March 2011 in order to take a close look at the machine manufacturer’s current range of products and services. Some 40 percent of visitors came from outside Germany. The largest groups counted 160 participants and came from France, Switzerland and the US respectively.

27/01/2011 – The traditional Technology Days are being held this spring from March 23 to 20. For four days a unique mix of technology, know-how and advice will be presented to the participants from all over the world. In addition, the anniversary "50 years of ALLROUNDER" is being celebrated.

At the leading world trade fair, the K 2010 in Düsseldorf, ARBURG presented new products from its machine, control and robotic system ranges.

As long term leading players in the Irish market place, ARBURG and Gunther together with First Polymer Training and the Sustainable energy authority of Ireland held two technical seminars in Galway and Dublin to 'bring many delegates from leading Irish moulding and medical companies up to speed with some latest developments

7th July 2010 marked the 11th golf day of ARBURG UK. The event for customers, suppliers and employees was held once again at the Coventry golf club.

At the Technology Days 2010, ARBURG launched its new micro-injection module, which operates with an 8-mm injection screw. This is combined with a second screw, which is responsible for melting the material.

21/03/10 – The number of more than 4,100 visitors from 46 countries impressively demonstrates that ARBURG has established with its Technology Days – held at the main factory in Lossburg, Germany – a truly prestigious industry event for the international plastics world.

19/03/2010 – This year’s ARBURG Energy Efficiency Award was presented for the first time as part of the Technology Days event at ARBURG’s headquarters. The prize, which is awarded in recognition of special activities in the area of energy efficiency, was presented to Wild & Küpfer AG from Schmerikon, Switzerland. This family-run company develops, produces and assembles high-precision plastic parts and assemblies for international customers from a variety of high-tech industries, such as medical technology.

22.01.10 – The traditional Technology Days are being held this spring from March 18 to 20. In 2010 the complex topic of “Efficient manufacturing” is at the core of the three day event which draws each year anew thousands of international visitors to the headquarters in Lossburg, Germany. The Packaging Technology Forum.has been added as a new feature to the event.

Two employees at ARBURG Ltd celebrated long service awards in December.

Hytec Plastic Mouldings Ltd manufacture precision injection, compression and thermoset plastics moulding from their base in Staffordshire, UK. The company recently developed plastic wall brackets for flat-screen televisions to tap into a lucrative and expanding market.

Harwin has been successfully manufacturing electronic components from its UK headquarters for more than 50 years. The company’s sales and service extend worldwide via offices and manufacturing facilities in the UK, Germany, USA, Singapore & Taiwan and a worldwide distribution network. Some products manufactured by the company include: High-Reliability connectors, RFI & PCB Hardware, an extensive range of industry standard interconnection products, and bespoke products designed to customers’ special requirements.

12/11/2009 – A very special event will take place from 14 to 18 December 2009 at the ARBURG headquarters in Lossburg: The Automation forum offers the unique opportunity to explore and understand just how easy the programming of complex, automated sequences is using our SELOGICA control system.

23/10/09 – ARBURG's presence at Fakuma 2009 was a success. The main focus on energy efficiency and sector-specific solutions attracted a great deal of interest from trade visitors and was perfectly in tune with the current requirements of the injection moulding industry. As hoped, the Fakuma struck a positive note for the future.

13/10/09 – ARBURG presents all facets of our innovative injection moulding technology with ten exhibits at the Fakuma show in Friedrichshafen from 13th to 17th October 2009. The main focus of our stand are energy efficiency and solutions for specific sectors.

13/10/2009 - The ARBURG Energy Efficiency Award 2009 was presented on the evening of the first day of the Fakuma trade fair. The award for special efforts in the area of energy efficiency went to Tyco Electronics. The internationally active group of companies is among the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic components, network solutions, undersea telecommunications systems and special solutions.

At the Technology Days 2009, ARBURG has presented several novelties.

The ARBURG Technology Days are the must-see industry gathering of the international plastics industry and attracts several thousand of customers and prospects to the ARBURG headquarters in Lossburg, Germany each springtime. This was again proven by more than 4,000 visitors from 48 countries. The event's 2009 highlights were the new Customer Center, the new models of the electric machine series ALLROUNDER 270 A and 720 A, the all new series ALLROUNDER H (HIDRIVE), several complex production cells and the overall broad range of applications on display.

ARBURG ‘handed over’ the new Customer Center at its headquarters in Lossburg to its customers by mid of March. A first opening event – with all contracting companies involved – was followed with the official opening ceremonies in the presence of German and international customers. Adjacent ARBURG opened its doors for the traditional ARBURG Technology Days to present to over 3,000 trade visitors from all over the world the latest ARBURG technology as well as the all new Customer Center.

From March 19 to 21, 2009 the traditional ARBURG Technology Days will be held at the company’s headquarters in Lossburg, Germany. This event attracts each year anew thousands of international visitors.

Since 1 January 2009, ARBURG has been officially represented in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with its own sales and service office. The Arabplast, which took place from 10 to 13 January in Dubai, provided the ideal forum for presenting the new ARBURG organisation and ALLROUNDER technology to the Arabian trade public.

At the Fakuma 2008 the ALLROUNDER GOLDEN EDITION was presented with a MULTILIFT V SELECT for the first time. With this new combination ARBURG offers a complete production unit including guarding with all electrical connections, conveyor belt and CE certification.

On Thursday 20th November, ARBURG held a technical seminar day at the First Polymer training facility in Athlone.

Wicklow based Conductix-Wampfler have recently updated the machinery in their injection moulding area with the acquisition of two new ARBURG 320 C 500-170 GOLDEN EDITION injection moulding machines.

ARBURG have been working with the Carbon Trust for over five years now and in that time our customers have enjoyed the mutual benefit of investing in our ARBURG ALLROUNDER energy efficient equipment and where possible, interest free loans.
ARBURG can assist in working with you to gain the necessary information for the application process in order to apply. The 7th August saw ARBURG hold its annual golf day at Finham Park, Coventry Golf Club.

The ARBURG range features a number of vertical machines especially designed for the encapsulation of inserts.

Bristol-based Horstmann Controls has entered a new phase in its strategic plan through its continued investment in the latest moulding machine technology, in the form of an additional ARBURG 100 tonne machine fitted the integrated MULTILIFT H robot and the ‘advance’ energy saving hybrid drive package.

At ARBURG, energy efficiency is not simply a fashionable, here today, gone tomorrow” subject, but our corporate objective for 2008. In pursuing this goal, we take a holistic approach to the efficient use of energy. Consequently, the objective is not just to manufacture our machinery using as little energy as possible, but rather to use our products and expertise to help our customer to minimise their energy consumption.

On Thursday 1st May 2008 ARBURG Ltd's Service Manager Robin Hambrook clocked up 30 years service with ARBURG and ARBURG's previous agent H&K.

Customers from all over the world bring technology and application highlights to Lossburg.

ARBURG has defined the efficient use of energy as a corporate objective in 2008. All measures are now being brought together with the “Energy Efficiency Allround” initiative. ARBURG envisages a holistic approach to the efficient use of energy. The goal is not simply to produce the products using as little energy as possible, but rather to use our products and our expertise to efficiently minimise energy consumption among our customers as well.

On 21 February 2008, ARBURG opened its new American Technology Center California in Irvine, CA, in the presence of ARBURG’s Managing Partners, Juliane and Michael Hehl.

During the recent K2007 exhibition held in Dusseldorf, ARBURG Ltd held a prize draw for all visitors attending the ARBURG stand from the UK and Ireland to win a Magnum of champagne.

On the occasion of the world trade fair K 2007, which took place from 24 to 31 October in Düsseldorf, ARBURG has launched new products.

24/10/2007 – Plastic world meets at K in Düsseldorf / Germany: From 24 to 31 October ARBURG presents in hall 13, stand A 13, new products.

ARBURG Ltd, along with Günther UK, Waldorf Technik and Contura organised a technical seminar in the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. The venue was chosen to provide both a focal point for the technical papers from each company and as a venue of interest to all attending delegates. The collective objective behind the event was to hold a seminar in Ireland to offer new development’s and to underline support for the Irish plastics industry.

ARBURG Ltd are pleased to confirm that we have taken corporate membership of the Scottish Plastics and Rubber Association.

A recent analysis of our customer database revealed that a proportion of our   customers have not purchased any plasticising screws or barrels from us since 2005. It may be of course that the need has not arisen, alternatively perhaps you are using a third party supplier?

In recognition of their life’s work and their outstanding services to the plastics industry, the American Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has awarded the Business Management Award for 2007 to the two ARBURG Managing Partners Eugen and Karl Hehl. The prize-giving took place on 6 May during an evening reception, at the Millennium Hotel in Cincinnati/Ohio, which was held on the occasion of the SPE Annual Technical Conference (ANTEC).

As part of its campaign to continue to be at the forefront of plastic moulding technology, ARBURG Ltd held an ‘automation seminar’ at its UK headquarters in Warwick on the 25 April.

On 28 March 2007, the official ground-breaking ceremony for the new ARBURG Customer Centre was held in Lossburg. At the heart of the new building will be a show room, which offers sufficient space to house the entire machine series. “With this new building, we confirm our strong commitment to Lossburg as our sole production location,” said Michael Hehl, Managing Partner and Spokesperson for the ARBURG Management Team in his welcoming speech.

The days events will include interesting presentations from the guest speakers the companies listed below. During the day you will also have the opportunity to see machines and automation's systems in action.

ARBURG continues to enhance its reputation as a manufacturer of electric moulding machines with a series of orders for the electric ALLDRIVE machine series from new and existing customers.
 
With an emphasis on increasing production efficiencies, manufacturing repeatability and a reduction in energy usage, ARBURG has increased its market share in the UK through the supply of its advanced technology modular drive electric machines and the delivery of continued superior after-sales service.
 
Two key customers, QPM Ltd and Louver-Lite Ltd explain their rationale behind the ARBURG purchasing decision.

ARBURG Ltd have installed a ARBURG ALLROUNDER 420C 1000 350 machine equipped with a ARBURG MULTILIFT 'H' (horizontal) robot system in Warwick. The 100ton machine is from the 'C' range and was selected due to its continued popularity in the marketplace and because it compliments the machine line up in the two demonstration rooms. The machine will be used for customer demonstrations and to allow training on the ARBURG MULTILIFT robot systems. Technicians can also gain valuable experience with the machine's SELOGICA control by programming the MULTILIFT robot through the SELOGICA system.

22/12/06 - “Allrounder International” is the new annual slogan for the K trade fair 2007. The slogan is emblematic of the commitment behind the high-tech services of ARBURG, a global player with strong regional ties. Allrounder refers not only to ARBURG’s machines, but also to the worldwide activities of its highly qualified staff. The slogan “Allrounder International” thus carries the appropriate message of competence in terms of both machine technology and individuals, in all languages and in all markets. 
 
 

As a surprise, ARBURG presented the new ALLROUNDER 720 S GOLDEN EDITION at the Fakuma 2006, which completes the successful line.
The new machine offers a distance of 720 x 720 millimetres between tie bars, a clamping force of 3,000 kN and a 1,300 injection unit size. Maximum shot weights of 826 grams of polystyrene can therefore be achieved.

At the Fakuma 2006, the new large ALLROUNDER 920 S celebrated its premiere. This machine with a clamping force of 5,000 kN and a distance of 920 x 920 mm between tie bars represents an important increase in the performance of the S series and therefore of the entire ARBURG machine range.

With the new ALLROUNDER 275 V, ARBURG launched at Fakuma 2006 its second hydraulic vertical machine with a fixed free-space design clamping unit. The new machine features generously dimensioned mould mounting platens and a maximum clamping force of 250 kN; it can be equipped with injection unit sizes 70 or 100.
