 | | | | With powder injection moulding (PIM), injection moulded parts can be produced from powdered ceramic or metal. The ARBURG machines for processing powdered materials are based on the ALLROUNDER series machines. The injection cylinders are, however, adapted for the particularly abrasive properties of the materials used.

| | Two-component liquid silicones only vulcanise when the two materials are brought together at a ratio of 1:1 and heat is applied. The ALLROUNDERs supplied by ARBURG for LSR processing are equipped with all the necessary components such as a dosing device for feeding and mixing the components, a plasticising unit, heated mould, vacuum system and peripherals for demoulding.

| | Thermosets are also referred to as curable or cross-linkable moulding compounds. They are created in a cross-linking reaction by the introduction of pressure and heat in the injection mould. Owing to this property, machines especially equipped for thermoset processing are required, which ARBURG supplies based on the proven ALLROUNDER C series machines.

| | Fluid injection technology (FIT), which includes gas injection technology (GIT) and water injection technology (WIT) is primarily used for moulded parts with thick walls, partially reinforced and ribbed constructions, or parts where cores are to be replaced by a hollow space. Thanks to the flexible SELOGICA control system, fluid technology applications can be performed problem-free using ALLROUNDERs.

| | ARBURG has been involved with this technology for a long time and offers a variety of clean room solutions which are successfully implemented in practice. The spectrum extends from ALLROUNDERs which produce entirely in the clean room, via modular, decentralised clean rooms in which the conveyor belt is encapsulated and the moulded parts are transported into the contamination-free area, through to cells with clean room modules above the machine clamping side and the robotic system area.
