 | | The ARBURG THERMOLIFT reduces both residual moisture in the plastic granulate and water addition prior to processing, a fundamental prerequisite for high moulded part quality. With this combined drying and conveying unit, a wide range of materials can be optimally prepared for production. The machine-compatible unit can feed granulate to a maximum of two ALLROUNDERs.

The THERMOLIFT works on the basis of convection drying, whereby fresh air, re-circulating air or optional dry air mode can be selected. Fresh air and re-circulating air mode come as standard. In fresh air mode, ambient air is drawn in from the surroundings and brought to temperature. In contrast, re-circulating air mode operates with closed air circulation, i.e. the air is fed directly to the fan again after the drying process. In dry air mode, the air drawn in is fed through an optional dry air module with a silica gel rotor, increasing the water absorption capacity, and therefore the drying performance, considerably. The compact construction, the small area needed for the device and the options which can be integrated make it easy and safe to operate.

As standard, the dried granulate is fed to the machine by means of pressure using dry air. It is also optionally possible to work with vacuum feed from the connected machine. The automatic switch-on/off function of the THERMOLIFT's control system as well as interval mode can be programmed. The entire THERMOLIFT process can be integrated in the sequence programming of the SELOGICA machine control system.
