10/07/2009 - As well as providing an opportunity to present the new ALLROUNDER HIDRIVE series, the open-house event also marked the official changing of the guard at ARBURG: After almost forty years of extremely successful activities on behalf of ARBURG in the Swiss market, Peter Moser is now to retire. In a festive atmosphere, he handed over the management of the subsidiary to his successor, Marcel Spadini.

In his address, Stephan Doehler, Director Sales Europe extended greetings and congratulations to both the retiring subsidiary manager and his successor on behalf of their colleagues in all the international ARBURG subsidiaries. He emphasised the exemplary role of the Swiss subsidiary at international level: “We really admire ARBURG’s Swiss organisation. What Peter Moser and his team have achieved in recent years is truly unique. This includes the continuous development and expansion of the subsidiary, the first-class support offered to our numerous long-standing customers and the establishment of many new contacts in recent years.” He congratulated Peter Moser and his team on their achievements. Mr. Doehler wished the new manager, Marcel Spadini, well for the future and hoped that he would enjoy his time at the helm of the Swiss subsidiary.

Opening the official handover of management responsibilities, partner Eugen Hehl directed his words to the guests. He emphasised the importance of ARBURG Switzerland, referring to it as a “pearl” among the international subsidiaries. His speech covered the various stages of Peter Moser’s career, spanning almost four decades with ARBURG. “We all know Mr. Moser to be a reliable subsidiary manager and an outstanding personality in the Swiss plastics industry,” said Eugen Hehl. He recognised that stepping into Mr. Moser’s shoes was quite a challenge. However, he was certain that Marcel Spadini would manage this with élan. The foundations for this changeover had been laid at an early stage because Mr. Spadini had been groomed for the role of future subsidiary manager since he joined the company in 2005. “In other words, we have been planning the strategy for the change of leadership at ARBURG Switzerland for some time, so that you, our customers, could be assured of a smooth transition,” he added, and emphasised: “As you can see, you can also rely on ARBURG’s continuity and reliability in this area.”
