05/07/2009 - ARBURG’s Czech subsidiary held its open-house event on 18 and 23 June 2009 under the title “Cost reduction in the production of plastic components”. A total of 165 customers and visitors from a variety of companies attended the event on both days. As well as specialist presentations, there were also live demonstrations of various ALLOUNDER models in the demonstration room. The highlight of the event was the presentation of an automated high-performance machine from the new HIDRIVE series.

Together with four cooperation partners - Güdel, ABB, MMT and Marting - the various aspects of energy and process optimisation were thoroughly presented and discussed in specialist presentations and machine demonstrations.

“By choosing to focus on energy efficiency and automation we have placed two very topical themes on the agenda,” said Jaroslav Novak, ARBURG’s subsidiary manager at spol s.r.o. in Brno, describing the concept behind the event. “Demand for energy efficiency measures and potential for optimisation in relation to machines, applications and the injection moulding process is increasing continuously,” he continued. “Visitors responded very positively, not only to the highly informative content of the presentations and the wide range of machines, but also to the fringe programme”, summarised Jaroslav Novak, who was very pleased.
