On June 24, Michael Hehl, Managing Partner of ARBURG, inaugurated the new building in Budapest. This was followed by an open-house event the next day in the ARBURG Technology Center (ATC).

From the idea to the finished product / ARBURG has provided the Süddeutsche Kunststoff-Zentrum (SKZ) in Würzburg with an injection moulding machine for the newly opened students’ laboratory.

ARBURG used a hybrid injection moulding machine in combination with a robotic system to present a cost-effective entry-level solution for automated parts production at the International Engineering Fair (IEF) in Nitra.

At the Plastpol fair, the compact and highly flexible production cell featuring a vertical ALLROUNDER 375 V with a Kuka-six-axis robotic system, as well as the ALLROUNDER 570 H, on which a thin-walled packaging item was produced in a cycle time of only 2.2 seconds, both impressively demonstrated the potential of ARBURG injection moulding soultions for the Polish market.

ARBURG presented itself mainly as a general contractor for complete systems aimed at producing hybrid components.

Since June 2010, ARBURG has been represented by a fully-owned organisation in the Austrian market. The headquarters is located in Vienna, but the sales and service personnel work in the field. They thus not only have direct contact to their respective customers in the Alpine republic, but are also available at very short notice.

At the Technology Days 2010, ARBURG launched its new micro-injection module, which operates with an 8-mm injection screw. This is combined with a second screw, which is responsible for melting the material.

Due to its big success by the end of 2009 at the global headquarters in Lossburg, Germany the "Practical Automation Forum" will be offered in 2010 on a global scale. During many of these events – now held at ARBURG subsidiaries and trading partners – ARBURG customers and interested parties can experience and test for themselves how easy the SELOGICA controller allows for the programming of complex automation sequences. In addition specialist presentations are offering interesting insight into practical tasks. Presentations on the comprehensive ARBURG product range round off the events.
